In October, On Site Medical & Safety held its Annual Conference. This yearly event brings our team together, giving employees the opportunity to connect directly with our office staff and gain additional training.
Commitment to Our Core Values
Because our medical and safety personnel often work in remote locations, face-to-face communication can be challenging. Team culture is one of our core values, so we prioritize hosting this event to strengthen our connections and maintain clear communication.
During the conference, hosted over multiple dates, we set clear expectations, detail policy and procedure changes, and — most importantly — listen to feedback from our employees.
Personnel Training
Derrick Whittle, Operations Coordinator and Project Manager, explains that his role is to create tools that help employees do their jobs effectively — and the only way to do that is to understand what employees need. This commitment is a key reason we host the annual conference. This year, Derrick took the reins and presented the medic training topics, ensuring our staff had access to the latest developments in their field.
A significant part of the conference is dedicated to skill development, education, and hands-on training. Medics practiced Intraosseous (IO) access and endotracheal intubation skills on mannequins, while others worked through IV insertion techniques. Corporate medical directors addressed the group, and safety technicians gathered to brush up on their skills. Many of our office staff are also paramedics, so they help lead and participate in training as well.
Our goal is to ensure our professionals stay up to date on the ever-changing best practices, standards, rules, and regulations — guaranteeing the highest quality services possible while giving our personnel opportunities to develop their skills and careers.
We want to thank all our employees again for their participation, and we encourage everyone to share their feedback and insights so we can best support you. Be sure to follow On Site Medical & Safety on social media to keep up with our employee engagement and training.
